Have you ever done a hard reset on your phone? General opinion seems to be that your phone needs at least one hard reset when first arriving in your possession. I experienced your problem once, on v20. A hard reset was the obvious solution back then, and it hasn't happened since - and I'm now on v30.

Nope, ive never hard reseted my phone. How do you do this?
Does all your data get wiped out? Do i have to re-install
all my apps? :(

Memory card might be faulty. It is definetly in properly though.
Removed it and put it back in a few times....still cant see my apps

Whatever isn't on your memory card. You can backup your data though. I use the PC sync to keep all my contacts, calendar, notes, etc. Hasn't failed me yet.

You'll have to re-install you apps...

To everyone finding random apps/data/files go missing from your memory card:

I had the same issue. I would put stuff on my phone, then all of a sudden, my music library is corrupt, half my files are gone. Strangely though. the memory card still thinks that the space is being used, even though the data is gone.

Another mate of mine had the same issue. After a lot of searching, i found the problem. It's got to do with taking videos.

Every time you use the video recorder, it saves the videos on your memory card, but then, for some reason, data on the memory card disappears and gets corrupted. I tested it as well. Put some series on my card, and they were all still there for a week. Then i took some videos of my cat, and a day later, BAM! Files were deleted.

I have since updated to the V30 firmware, and changed my video settings to record to the phone memory instead of the memory card. So far, so good.

Pretty annoying bug.
 
Anyone know, if you download a .sis file and choose not to install it, where does it keep it on the phone?

I havent used my video camera in a while...
but thanks for this... very very very annoying bug....
 
Took a video over the weekend, this morning various music files are gone. Bug is thus still here. Whats the point??? Just gonna have to stop using the video camera. :/

Getting my Tube tomorrow hopefully. I've read this thread from start to end and I know I'm going to love this phone. Quick question to the guys with the memcard issues, did you guys change your product codes in the past? There has to be something in common with your phones. Maybe post a general summary of your apps or tweaks?
