Hey guys

I just got my new phone today...Still busy setting up and all the rest but im a bit of a phone novice.

Just wanted to ask, if i connect my phone to the PC to transfer music, will it start charging the battery? Im asking coz my last phone gave so much trouble with its battery that i just dont wana mess this one up.

They said i must use the battery flat then charge it so im worried if i plug it in that its gona charge and mess it up.

nokia phones dont charge over usb connections. well all the ones i've seen
 
I've got one as well. Unfortunately it doesn't charge over USB. AC only. As far as I understand it, Lithium batteries work on charge cycles anyway, so you don't need to let it run flat before charging it every time.
 
Some nokia's charge via USB its sad that my 5800 doesn't :(
 
But the battery on the 5800 is pretty solid it shouldn't be a major issue.
