I have a Nokia 6110 that I use as a Bluetooth modem (OTA) to connect to the internet. I am using a Asus BT dongle with Broadcom drivers and XP SP3.

The connection constantly stops responding after 10-20 minutes. I then have to restart my phone before I can connect again. If I don't, Windows fails to communicate with the modem. Everything works fine when connecting using USB cable.

I have updated to the latest 6110 firmware but can't seem to find a source to update BT drivers? {BTW I have my Windows BT stack disabled}.

Does anyone have the same problem with 6110 or Nokia in general? I would appreciate any suggestions or, even better, solutions!

hmmm what network are you on?
perhaps try under advanced modem properties to set the extra initialization commands to
+cgdcont=1,"ip","internet"
have you got another phone that you can try it with to narrow down whether its the phone or the pc?

I often use my 6110(MTN) as bluetooth modem when my E272 (Voda) has signal problems. Havn't had any issues with it.

I'm on MTN (contract).

What do those commands do?

I'm using a Asus BT 2.0 + EDR dongle. Are you guys also using BT 2.0?
