Can we have an update from MTN reps regarding the Nokia 6110 Navigator?

Communication from MTN Handset Procurement

Dear Valued Customer
Please note that we have been notified by the Nokia factory that they are experiencing quality issues on both the 6110 Navigator and the E90 Communicator. All production has been stopped until further notice. We will be withdrawing all advertising on these products and will be looking for alternatives to make up for these handsets. This sucks - now I have to go search for a new phone.
 
Checked with a Vodacom outlet. They do not have the quality issues with their Navigators. Apparently their stock comes from a different Nokia factory. :confused:

I really want this phone. Maybe I should wait a few months longer & port to Vodacom. :rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
Why is it this only ever happens with MTN, there are always delays - sometimes months before MTN have the same handsets as the competition ? There must be a reason somewhere ?

they got the same issues with this phone and E90.
