Hi all, I am stuck with my wife's stupid 6111 for the next week or so. I always used my Motorola V360 for Gmail and Opera Java applications. Now, this phone, I download it all, but the application itself can't connect to internet. Opera tells me it can't connect. Why can this be, I downloaded new settings from Virgin, switched the phone off and on, took the battery out, everything I could think of. Pls help me with this piece of sht?

You have to create a APN, go to
settings > configuration > Personal configuration settings
access point settings: Data bearer- packet data
Bearer settings, think you can make the user name and password anything you like. Authentication type normal. Make packet data access point - internet

Under configuration menu make sure your created APN is your preferred access point. Hope this helps

Nope, nothing. I did as you said, but it still cant connect. i even changed the access point to vdata, but also nothing. What I cant understand, is why does the normal browser of the phone work? I downloaded the gmail and opera applications through it, and I use it now to connect via my laptop too, everything going fine. It's just that applications.

Under Configuration > Default configuration settings, choose your Data providers GPRS settings then

Under Configuration > select activate default in all applications

if it still doesn't work try switching your phone off and on
