Nokia 6210 Navigator

Just got this phone thru mtn but I cannot get it to lock into "My Position". Is there something wrong with the software or am I doing something wrong? Is mtn meant to send me connection settings or something like that? Thanks

Tried both inside and outside but it does not seem to be able to pick up any satellites

When my 6110 Nav takes a long time I normally open the application on the phone called "GPS data" select position and then "Satelite Status". Normally locks on within 10-20 sec from there.

Cool. Very bad weather can apparanly also cause problems but I have yet to see this.

just fired up my 6210, upgraded to the new firmware.
still slow at aquiring lock.
i know for the first time it takes long as the gps had to load a azimuth map. but in general its slow at locking

GPS & Vodacom vs. MTN on Nokia 6210 Nav...

I found that when using an MTN SIM card the GPS struggles to find MY POSITION, but when using a Vodacom SIM card, the GPS finds it within seconds!

Its cause it uses AGPS which also uses the network towers and im guessing that vodacom is better. I had alot of trouble with the 6210NAV and GPS, and found that Installing Garmin Navigation made it find satellites in seconds...Dont know how diff software could effect it but it did
