Nokia 6680 help

Hi

I have a Nokia 6680 with a 3G card and a 100mb data bundle. My phone sometimes shows the 3G logo (small) under the signal strength bars, sometimes not. What I want to know is, when do I have EDGE coverage? My phone never says Y'ello Broadband or anything like that, and whether I switch cell info display on or off makes no difference. Please advise. When I do a speed test connected to my laptop, I get an average of 360-380kbps to Gamco and Telkom speedtest, which is 3G, but if the 3G logo is not there, I get almost 56k-like speeds.

You will need to use a program like NetMonitor something that will show you what tower you are connected to. E-GPRS especially in the area I am in makes no difference, cause apparently there is a problem somewhere with the infrastructure. Anyways, your phone will only display GSM and 3G (UMTS), EDGE is displayed using a app like NetMonitor. Download that from www.getjar.com
