Nokia 82 Navigator

Hi

I tested out the mapping software on my boss's N82. Works pretty well and is accurate to within a few metres.

I haven't used any navigation devices before so I was definitely impressed. Do the R2000 Garmins at Game / Makro etc have the voice capabilities as well? Any affordable cellphones out there with the navigator function?

But why would you do that? Put in the sim card and use it as a phone as well.
Otherwise just get a full fledged GPS, like a Garmin.

I'm looking at upgrading to the N82. I've currently got a Nokia N80, and there are two things which bug me - the poor battery life and the fact that it drops calls where other phones never did. Am I going to be disappointed with the N82? I've checked the online reviews and the battery life looks to be as bad as the N80 (which I have got used to and work around by having chargers bristlng from every crevice), but it seems that no-one actually tested the thing as a phone, just raved about the camera. What is it like?

wanna see bad battery get a samsung... i used to bitch that my n73 battery had to be charged every night...

My samsung, try charged over night, charge it while im driving, and then it'll usually die by around 5 ish...

but im also keen on the N82, is its Gps as good as a garmin ?
