and how does it work
do i need data to use it

or how does it work?

will be great to use as a gps and phone :)

thank you

also the 925 looks ok but screen is bit small

HERE Drive is free and the maps can be downloaded for offline use.

You're not limited to WP though, HERE Drive is also on Android & iOS I think.

i used google maps on my p6 this weekend to test it out
but for high accuracy it needs gps and data

if i download the maps, how accurate is the gps only? as i will use it in CT where its crouded etc

im sure the gps in phones are diffrent and some works alot better than others

i will look at that app, thank you

You'll need data for traffic info etc.

i'll just need the maps
and the gps to be accurate dont want it to be behind and slow and makes me drive wrong :P

Here Maps and Here Drive maps (they are shared) are downloaded and stored on the phone. Thus, you must have access to data or wifi to intially download the maps. Thereafter you can turn off data and the map and driving instructions will work accurately (relative to other GPS-enabled phones). As mentioned above, you must have data enabled to get real-time traffic info.

Voice guidance adn satellite acquisition in Cape Town is no problem.

I'm using it on my Android... It's the best Nav app I've had - preferred over TomTom

im getting my 830today :)

not the best or what i wanted

but not gonna spend alot permonth on a 930 R350+

Congrats! Advised my brother-in-law to get the 830 even though he could get the 930 on his package. Reason being that, even though the 930 has a bigger battery, the 830 lasts substantially longer.

i dont mind for the sim,use my work sim (gets 5gb data, fee calling etc,)

now the 830 use nano and the work sim is micro :/

and a dam simswap is R150
and i wont think the work will allow that

screen feels nice, just the back cover feels cheap

Cut it.

I've done that... And it works :D

i looked at that, but the chip is bigger so cant cut it,:(

i saw the newer sims can be cut to nano, even tho it comes in a micro size, the physical chip is a nano size
