Nokia C6 looses email?

Any help here ? My C6-00 keeps losing the ability to download my emails? Works perfectly for 5 days then stops for 5 days? I don't change anything or vroetel with any settings. Access point etc. Sometimes I can get it going by reloading my email address. This also does not work too flash as 'remove mailbox' never stops flicking, sometimes it will restart by clearing messages and other unrelated items. My storage is 250 but I delete any mails after about 50. My connection is fine, FB, Whatsapp, Google all fine. Mail comes to my laptop perfectly. MTN and/or Mweb can't help.:wtf::wtf::wtf:

Is the phone software/firmware up to date? Are you running the latest Mail for exchange app for your Nokia? Is it web based email or your isp or work email? Try a hard reset on your phone. Remember to do a backup. If you using Pop3 try imap or Mail for exchange. Also set it to only download the headers.
 
It's my iafrica.com email plus 2 gmails. All 3 work well for a while then stop. Now I cannot remove them as 'removing mailbox' just runs forever. Nokia told me to dial *#7780# but it just says close all connection and end calls before doing this?
Where do I get to 'download headers only' ?
Found software updater and mine is the latest 41.0.010
Cant reset to 'factory settings' as when I push it I get a message, 'end all active calls' ?
 
Changed to 'headers only' and 25 mails came thru ! Hope this stays working ? But how does it change settings on it's own? Thanks guys, appreciated.
 
not really changed it self, im guessing it was set on headers plus or full mail, it worked fine since I'm guessing you had enough phone memory (not the memory card or mass storage the actual phone memory), you probably got a bunch of large emails took a large chunk of your memory. so until it cleared it wouldn't download.

Maybe delete some of those emails or archive them
 
Thanks, when I try to send pics, the message is 'memory full, close some things? and try again?' The phone memory shows: free 207.4MB, E :memory card free 1.6GB.This message comes up before my pics will even open.
Emails are always deleted straight after reading. Never too many at a time left on the phone.

on nokias I notied the phone memory doubles as RAM so open apps alsouse this so even though you have 200 or so MB free the more apps open the less available memory you have for other stuff to use.
as with deleting emails it only confirms once the server syncs and I'm not sure about yours but my g mail even though deleted its still stored in a deleted folder (synced to the phone as well) and if I don't clear this it only gets cleared automatically after about 30 days.
 
Morning, it's obvious from my postings that I'm clueless but getting there…………. How do I close open apps? When opening menu I have a little green circle next to email and whatsapp. My screen has Google, Whatsapp, Maps, and Messages shortcuts showing in one line. Next line is 4 contacts, then FB then emails and the last block is photos, bluetooth calendar and camera. Which if any of these are 'open apps' that I must close?

ps. I think I'm 'getting there'?
 
the green circle normally means the app is open and running.
if you hold the menu key, it will call up a screen showing all your open apps.
if you hold on to one of those apps it will give you 2 options open and exit. exit will close the app.

Dont bother closing whatsapp it will turn itself on after a little while.
 
Holding menu gives me a house and a pic with circle , a green dot and a blue square. Holding either one only gives 'open' and goes to the screen that normally comes up when pushing menu.

Tried all options to download Netqin but to no avail. The sms has not come and trying on the phone gives a message about C6-01 only not -00 which my phone is.

Please go and enjoy the day! Whilst the email is working I'm going to just whisper around the phone until it stops again.
