Is there a way to get a Nokai E51 to use my home wifi LAN when I'm home and automatically change to 3G when the LAN is out of range?

Also - If I have MSN running on the phone I assume it uses regular amounts of data. Is that correct?

There is a way to get the phone to automatically connect to the home Wi-Fi network, but no to switch between both I think. You will have to do that manually.

MSN for me always transferred data so often, whereas GTalk didn't do that

It seems MSN requires you to specify a connection. I don't mind leaving it on 3G. It seems to works best using the VLive connection setting.

Do you mean that MSN uses more bandwidth? Are there other IM apps that use less but still let you connect to MSN?

Is there a 'best of breed" mobile IM app?
