Nokia E61 and home networking?

Hello,

I don't know if this is possible, but has anybody been able to use their Nokia E61 and WIFI home network to browse their home network and download files to the phone. I know you can browse the web via your WIFI connection, but can I browse my own network?

It might not support CIFS/Samba but you could always set up a local web server if there were specific things you wanted to copy.

Unfortunately the E61 lacks the software to share or use Windows shares out of the box. I'm currently using an ftp server on the PC and a [primative] ftp client on the E61.

what's the name of the ftp client you are using?

I use a free program called DROS that I downloaded from Handango. It's works like a DOS shell but it also provides a commandline ftp facility.
