Well, I upgraded to a Nokia E61 on Saturday. So far, I'm very happy . . . the phone is pretty capable connection-wise. I've installed the Nokia Network Bridge to use the Internet connection on my PC over USB (i.e. the phone is using my dial-up connection). I could also browse at the local M&B using the WLAN with no problems. The keyboard works well, although it's not for those with stubby fingers. I was a bit worried about the size, at first, but the phone is about as big as it could get without becoming annoying (it's at least pretty slim). I don't notice it in my pocket, which is good...
I installed the Opera mini browser, although the factory browser seemed to work just fine.
Extras include wireless printing, screen display (to a Bluetooth projector), text editor, spreadsheet, presentation editor, audio/video playback, email client, IM client. There appears to be built-in support for a Bluetooth GPS (waypoints and some limited navigation). A 64MB miniSD card is included. A stereo headset adaptor is NOT included - where would be the cheapest places to obtain one?
The phone is pretty good value, as long as you can live without:
- a camera
- FM radio
- HSDPA
