Hi guys

My dad has a Nokia E7 on contract from MTN. The phone is about 3 months old. It works well, but developed an issue with the screen a short while ago. Basically, on the right hand side of the phone there is a defective stripe a couple of pixels wide that runs from top to bottom of the screen. It's right near the edge of the screen, but it wasn't there when he got the phone. He also hasn't dropped the phone and it's in a hard case for protection.

My dad took it to MTN Rondebosch in the week and asked for it to be repaired. He got it back this morning and was assured it was fixed. I took a look at the phone a few moments ago to restore his contacts and I noticed that the issue was not fixed. I've told him that he must phone back on Monday to complain, as the phone was not fixed.

Granted, my dad is at fault for taking the phone back when he should have left it to go back again, but overall I'm not impressed with the way the situation was handled. I mean, the phone went in because of the screen issue, it's not something you can miss. I wonder if the phone was even touched beyond them reflashing firmware...

Sigh :(

Personal experience when taking phone in for repairs to SP stores, is they don't log the error (ask them for the job card and you will see what they put on it is not what you asked for) correctly so the repair centre doesn't fix the problem, they probably just flashed the OS.
if I were you I would take it directly to Nokia care they will sort it out, Nokia has a 2 year warranty so your dads phone is covered by them.
