please post if you have.

The 'one year' GPS subscription has me worried too. Anyone who can advise on this?

I was told (verbally) that it's 'around R700 a year'. She didn't seem all that certain though...

is there any other software that one can download or buy or something that would prevent the gps function from becoming useless?

The expensive thing with Garmin is the maps. There is a thread here on myBB forums to get it working but if you need help let me know - I do it frequently.

Hi where is the thread for the Garmin, new to this where do i look?

some thread called something about installing garmin on a nokia Xxxxx.

scroll to page to of cellular and it forum page, or maybe page 3.

got the phone. It is very nice,

Sadly I managed to corrupt the momory card on my first day so I had to reload the maps etc. Unfortunately I lost the multiscanner application too. I don't seem to be able to download it anywhere (apparently several other people ahve the same problem). I don't suppose anyone has a unused copy on their memory card that they can share

Apart from it being a fingerprint magnet, it is missing a stopwatch application. Wow - every phone since 1973 has a stopwatch. It most be the simplest app ever. I found a nice java one but the UI and icon really stick out from the rest of the phone. I don't suppose anyone has found a pretty looking one?

The phone works great with the exchange server and with my bluetooth car kit. Getting voice directions and having it read sms's and email to me - sweet. Also the no-training voice control works great while driving.

no you can't charge by usb. A pity because it was always nice just to keep the usb cable in the laptop bag for travel. There is a usb adapter to charge the phone (through the normal charging port).

Where did you uys buy it from? I have been waiting for more that 2 weeks to get an E71 from MTN?
