nokia e90-1

hi guys i decided to take the nokia e90-1 as my upgrade, but since this whole week i already swopped it 4 times cos 1 main problem is that when u press the button on the side to activate the camera it does not activate which means it has to be activated via the phone itself. i now have the 5th
e90 and still have the same problem. what i wana know is, is this a common problem which can be sorted out in time with maybe a software upgrade or should i return it once again and get them to get me a e90 that works 100% ?

i really like this e90, its the red edition with the latest sofware on it.

your advice is greatly appreciated

My E90 never activated the camera using the camera button. I dont think it's supposed to.

You activate the camera in the menu's and use the button to take the photo.

The reason: The camera comes on when ever you put the phone in your pocket (cause the button is pushed)...which kills the battery.

one more thing ..... if i go into speech and change the mans voice (martin ) to
the ladys voice (ellen) it changes there but when it speaks back whenever i get a call it still gives the mans voice .... how do i make the change

The camera button on the e90 was never designed to activate the camera. A quick check on the net would have confirmed this. Four brand new e90's have been opened and are now used items to get to this fact. Surely the sales people should have been familiar enough with the product to have stated the fact before the first swop was done. Jeepers.

"Say callers name" will always be in that funny computer-man voice. It's not a configurable option apart from on/off!!

hi guys just another thing i noticed with the e90-1 cell phone.... when i use the loudspeaker there is quiet a bit of hissing audible and also a bit of crackling sounds is this something that can be sortd out?

yeah ok... anyway i took it back to mtn and they say there are aware of the problem and they will get me another new phone by friday... 1 from a different batch... this is now my 6th e90 in almost 2 weeks

then again i give them about R6500.00 a month in business

Such high cell usage warrants a cell implant. The e90's are trying to tell you this. You need an embedded solution. I'm sure there are Chinese or Russians that can do this for you.
