I tried to search for E90 using the search function here, but the useless Vbulletin won't search any term with only three characters in it.

So, if this has been asked before, please forgive the repetition:

I just acquired a Nokia E90 but am having difficulty getting the GPS to work. According to the manual it should locate my position automatically, but for some reason I seem to be stuck in Berlin somewhere. If I check for satellite status it pops up some arb values on the screen, but there is a little red cross next to the satellite option that tells me no satellites available when I am zooming around the globe. Hmm...

I was wondering if perhaps there is something that has to be unlocked before the GPS will work?

I also noticed that the Bluetooth and radio doesn't seem to work. Maybe the phone is damaged? Possible software corruption?

Any help would be most appreciated.

No, it was given to me by my brother, who got it on an upgrade. It's been sent off to Nokia - looks like the aerial is faulty. I might get it back in 2010. ;D

My E90 does the same, except its always starting at the position where I first used the Maps function. I then have to navigate my way from there.

BTW is there any other Nav software besides the Maps function and Garmin XT that can work on the E90?

when did you get ur e90? i received my new e90 today and it came with 12 months free license ... it is on a mtn pro call 1000 contract... hope this helps

Got mine from Exactmall, July 2007. Besides Nokia Maps and Garmin XT you could try Nav4all which is free.

TomTom also works with a few "patches" applied, although practially it's a bit of a schlep having to go through the enabling routine each time you want to fire it up. Cool app tho, IMO.

Mine wasn't working at all. Couldn't lock into any satellites or even pick up a Bluetooth signal. I'm hoing that I get a replacement.
