Nokia E90 vs. HTC Tytn / Imate JASJAM

I discovered the Nokia E90 a few weeks ago

It is expected to arrive in October 2007.

Being a Nokia fan and totally in love with my 9300, I like the E90 muchly.

it seems bigger and heavier and MTN will probably charge me a ***load to upgrade to the E90.

My 9300 is getting old and ja, new phone is always better.

My other option is the HTC or the IMATE.

Being a STDBANK corp client, I have to pay in like R1.9k in (rediculous for being a good clinet since 1994)

What do you folks think, go get the HTC/IMATE or wait for the E90

I am also due for a upgrade now & currently have a 9300i which i am still very happy with, so im going to be waiting for the E90. It is going to be extremely expensive though

As I've mentioned in another thread Nokia's continued aftersales support in SA seems to be getting real dodgy. But I would wait for the E90 which should come around May/June according to other sources on this forum.

After some very hard lessons (eg yakkin in the rain) I apply the following simple rules:

(1) Always case it.
(2) Never drop.
(3) Avoid all moisture.

Maybe then I won't need aftersales

Why cant the make it the size of the 9300i? To me that is the perfect size for such phone.

It's so big I'm trying to figure out where the retractable wheels are housed

I think the pictures in circulation make it look bigger than it really is. One only really knows when it is in hand.

E90 is same height and thickness as 9300i, but 6mm wider.

Nokia 9300i = 132mm (h) x 51mm (w) x 21mm
Nokia E90 = 132mm (h) x 57mm (w) x 20mm

Remember with E90 you're getting 800 x 368 resolution (versus 620 x 200 on 9300i) on the inner screen, as well as 240 x 320 (versus 128 x 128) on the outside, and way superior keyboard.

Its a winner as far as I'm concerned.
