I have tried the following units

Nokia N95
Nokia N97
Nokia 5800 Xpress Music

All the following devices perform perfectly in the following tested cars:

Merc B200 Turbo
Merc A180
Hyundai Getz 1.3
Peugeot 206cc
Toyota Tazz 1.6
Toyota Corolla 1.6 (old shape)
and a few others I cant think bout right now.

Anyways.. My point is the second I get into my car, a Fiat Palio EL (2002 shape) 1.2 then it loses GPS signal or struggles to stay up-to-date.. i.e navigation is minimum 6 seconds delayed.

Any idea what could be causing this? I have not tried it in another Fiat Palio yet.

Might be the FIAT badge but it could also be any number of other things... but ya think its mostly the badge :p

mount it on the windscreen (no, not the badge).
I have a nokia GPS unit that i put under the sunvisor, no issues but its a Conquest, not Fiat...

Sell you car and get something else.

Will solve the GPS problem and will solve the fact that you drive a Palio

Hey Hey.

Yah thought that may be it :P

The Palio is my first car ^_^ - haha. Well first first car was a Volkswagen Fox 1988 model automatic 1.6 :P lol - that was super fail.. it was cream and scary. - had it for 3 months.. within that 3 months they broke into it twice and the tyres randomly deflated etc.. was dodge. Had a few issues with that car.. think its cause I actually drove the thing after the person it was purchased from only put 66k on the odometer.

Now I consider the fiat my "first car" - power steering, aircon, electric windows is pretty awesome compared to the Fox :P - but yes.. next car is on the horizon :D

The minute anything electronic comes in contact with an Italian car, the electronics fry themselves...sorry about that...:p
