Nokia has announced N95 HSDPA enabled!

Now this is what I have been waiting for, unfortunately with the state of my phone at the moment I may not be able to hold out until the middle of next year for a new phone.

Either that or the mythical Apple iPhone.

This is good news. I was wondering when they will be releasing a HSDPA phone.
Availablitiy will most likely be closer to the end of the year, 3rd / 4th q 2007 or maybe even 1st q 2008

There's a trend for when Nokia phones get released in South Africa. Once they have been officially released in Europe they usually take 6 to 8 months to arrive on the South African market, once they've been tested and approved.

So say it's released Feb 07, then it should be in SA around Aug 07 to Oct 07. And I'm only due for an upgrade in July 2008 :(

Thanx for the link, why can't we have expo's of this kind in SA,the N95 is bigger than the N80,I got the N80 and it is not very easy to use one hand to operate the handset, but it is still a cool phone and the N95 even a cooler phone, but I must wait for the model thereafter because my contract expire June 2008,I wait for the N100.:D The N70 looks cool in black, never seen one here yet.

The way it works,

The handsets become available worldwide for ordering on NOL - Nokia On Line, basically Europe and ourselves here in SA have the possibility to order the handset at the same time.

Once we've ordered the handset, we wait for a packing date from Nokia, again Europe and SA are in equal footing waiting for packing,

After packing they wait for a flight and make their way down south, their FOB iis either Finland / Hungary

The whole process takes about 3-4 weeks, BUT

the delay in us receiving our stock are our lovely comrades at ICASA. We can lland the stock a day or two later than Europe and elsewhere BUT Nokia will not ship to us until our comrades at ICASA have approved the handset

Hope this clarifies...

So once again, icasa prove to be the stumbling block.

Man, these guys are a bunch of turds.
