Nokia Lumia 920 not picking up 3G network

Hi guys,

I just bought a Nokia Lumia 920 secondhand and when I tested it with my MTN simcard it had 3G signal. Soon as I got home, I did a phone reset, and now it only registers Edge signal. So I know it works with 3G, but did it wipe out some settings when I did a reset?
Is there anyone who is aware of this problem, and how do I fix it? The forums online doesn't look so helpful...

Try this: Settings ->Mobile Network, Check whether Data Connection is set to ON also Highest Connection to 3G

Thanks for info. I tried your solution, but it still only shows Edge. I also have a CellC sim card, and it shows 3G if I activate data roaming, but doesn't do the same for my MTN sim card. Is it some sort of firmware problem?

How old is this sim card?

Also it might be a APN problem, give MTN a call now on 173 and tell them your problem, im sure they will tell you whats wrong.

I think the sim is about 5 months old... gonna phone 173 now. Will let you know what they said...
