So a friend of mine dropped her Nokia Lumia 920 and shattered the front glass. The touch still works perfectly tho when using the phone (besides the glass shards :D ).

Where in Cape Town can I get this repaired? Got one quote already for R2350 surely it can't be that expensive?

Any advice will do.

I have the same problem, mine also still works fine. just the shattered glass. a quote from MTN was R5,300. my "friend" is quoting me R1,500.

Seems like the replacement includes the LCD, that would explain the price. I got a replacement touch screen for a Nokia 520 from China, it was touted as OEM, fitted perfectly but just didn't have the sensitivity of the original. I ended up getting another from Phonextreme in Cape Town, definitely original. It's not a difficult part to replace.

Careful, I think the price quoted on the page excludes VAT.....

Thanks for the link.

Yeah it seems you need to replace the whole thing which is the reason behind the price. I have repaired many iPhones but never a Nokia Lumia and after watching a video or screen replacement, I agree doesn't seem too hard but still need to take apart the whole phone and there seem to be a lot of little clips that look easily breakable.
