Had a look on GSM Arena and there seems to be very little difference between that phone... Just size?? Is there something I'm missing??

Are the SA versions of these phones the ones with LTE?

Then next point, I had a 610 and whatsapp took years to open on that, how is it with the phones above?

The 925 has an aluminium body instead of polycarbonate like the 920. Also, the wireless charging component of the 925 is detachable which in turn reduces thickness. Both are LTE models.

I don't recall the loading times for Whatsapp on android, for me the loading time on WP8 is acceptable.

If you are looking to buy, then it would be a better idea to wait for the 1520 or take the 1020.

925 is the upgraded version of the 920. Biggest difference is the weight. Get the 925 unless you want the big camera phone. Or as Traq mentioned if you want big have a look at the massive 1520 for R9400.

Thanks for the link. I am thinking of swapping my Note 2 for a WP without paying extra to see if I actually can live with it on a daily basis before getting something like a 1520 on an upgrade in August :)

I am soooo tempted to ditch my s4 and get a 925...but not sure it's worth the money. I had the first wp, the Samsung Omnia 7 and it was okay. Brilliant for me but that was before I had the S4. Just want to see how they've improved, and I like the looks of the 925.

I'm deciding between the 925 and the 1020 for my May upgrade.
But I don't like that buldge on the 1020, I know the camera is worth it but still :/

I'm really hoping the Lumia 929/Icon would be released internationally by then though.... that's the one phone I REALLY want.

I currently have a Lumia 820 and love it. Have no issues with WP8, as per OPs question about whatsapp, loading times is decent, sometimes it'll take 3-5 seconds to open the first time. But thats just whatsapp, everything else is fast.

By first time, what do you mean?? I am a heavy whatsapp user and open it practically every minute at least...

I remember whatsapp on the Omnia 7, sometimes it wouldn't start at all and you had to try opening it a few times. :D Got fixed in a Whatsapp update eventually.

Whatapp on the 920 works fine, about 3 seconds to open from pushing start icon. Smooth from there on.

925 is really just a lighter version, with detachable charge plate, so if weight is an issue get it.

I would wait for the Barcelona conference later this month, think 26 Feb, might be some announcements.

the 929 is Verizon only, unknown if they will release a world version, but it would definitely be my next WP if i could get it.
929 is 5" version of the 1520
