Will the nokia N70 automatically connect to the best coverage?

For EX: if im in a gprs and edge environment will it choose the edge over the gprs? And if im in a gprs, edge and 3g environment would it use the 3g or is there any settings or at command I need to enter?

Adapts automagically. I find at work that the phone continually change to 3G, then drop it again. Have now disabled 3G to save battery since I don't have good 3G at work and none at home.

^^^ is correct, being connected to 3g EATS your battery, i am loving this phone, best nokia out at the mo IMO!
