Hi Guys

I cracked my N73's LCD screen over the weekend. Is it even worth fixing? The phone functions 100% other than the cracked screen. It is also farely new.

I have located instructions on how to replace the screen here:

http://www.1on1.ro/2008/03/12/replacing-the-lcd-screen-on-a-nokia-n73-7-steps/

And I have located a replacement screen here:

http://www.cellulardr.com/products.php?cat=119

However it goes for R850 bucks!

Is it worth it?

Is it even worth selling the phone with the cracked screen?

Thanks!
P

it might be worth it ya, its still less than replacing it

while we on this topic of damaged phones, I cannot stress how important it is, to make sure you have theft and accidental damage insurance cover on your phone.

lets face it, these new devices are very expensive nowadays, reaching as high as 9-10k.

recently, my BBerry got damaged and I luckily insured it with Outsurance, which covered theft and accidental damage.

Basically, 2 days later, they replaced it with a brand new phone for an excess of R400. BBerry retails around 5k, so its very worthwhile getting this stuff insured people..

The trade price of a Nokia N73 LCD is between R485 and R530, fitting is usually around R100 (I actually charge R80 here) so you shouldn't pay more than R650 at tops!

Often independent dealers have second hand LCD's around from phones that are not repairable for other reasons. You could pay as little as R300 in this case!
