Nokia N8 issue

My friend asked me to take a look at his phone, this problem is the phone has no signal all the time, he uses MTN and so do I both our sims dont work.

I was thinking the antenna could be damaged, but one thing surprised me, when I went into the network connections menu and started to do a network operator search it did indeed find MTN,Cell C and Vodacom.

Yet all gave the same error message "no access".

I was thinking, could this phone be blocked by MTN?

Our whole family is MTN, and its the regular simcard. ill have to go buy one.


Will there be signal even if its not rica'd?

Won't work. Try buy a Voda sim, rica and try it.
