Nokia N81 "messaging: already in use" error

What is up with this? I have a Nokia N81 that complains "messaging: already in use!" when I want to open up messaging to send an sms or something.

This seems to be a common problem with the "already in use" issue, but nobody gives a concrete solution.

I have reinstalled the firmware but nothing works. Problem started out of the blue and persists...

IF you hold down the menu button does it show as being opened already?

try a hard reset, i had the same problem with my N81. only down side is you lose all saved data and settings

Nope. It turns out this was a virus. Had to format card storage.

Installed antivirus on it now. All working fine. Funny.
