Hi, I have a Nokia N82, I have a problem with the sound, as when I make or receive a call, the volume is too soft. The calling volume is at max and I've tried changing to text phone as default, can't think of anything else to try.

But I have another problem, my phone came with a 2 year Nokia Maps licence with voice navigation, so if I send it for repairs would I lose that? It is obviously very costly to buy a voice navigation licence.
What sould I do??

Thank you,
jerome

It might be a software-related issue. Try and reinstall the software with Nokia's Software Updater:

Just make sure that you have backed up all your contacts and important SMS messages before doing so. You will not lose your voice navigation licence.

I have done this several times after some 3rd party program I tested caused problems, and every time the licence remained intact. I think it is registered on Nokia's servers the first time you launch the program, so even if you lose all the software on the phone, the licence is not affected as it is associated with your phone's IMEI number.

The Nokia Maps are stored on the memory card, just remove the card before you send it for repairs.
