Nokia N86

Hi just got my son a Nokia N86 as part of contract upgrade. Anyone have any experience with this phone? Please share experience. Seems awesome to me 8mp camera, wlan, bluetooth, etc.

i used one a while back. the phone took nice shots and actually has a really nice stitch function on the imaging software.
i actually quite liked the slide and the keys were nice - more responsive than the N95.
otherwise, pretty standard nseries s6o os.
the first things i would do is install fring, skype, nimbuzz and opera mini/skyfire.
and free maps if it's supported.
battery life wasn't bad and i assume it's got an fm transmitter as the other nseries devices have.
that's one of my main criteria for a phone - microsd capacity above 8gb for portable music and an fm transmitter.
my only issue was the naviwheel getting a bit sticky after a while. but that's probably because i played some game to death on it.

Thanks for input. Yest it has FM transmitter function but haven't tried it out yet.

Has some one tried charging this phone using USB cable?

yes. the box should come with a micro usb data cable and wall charger.
it should charge off both, but much faster off the wall.
afaik most phones in future should charge off usb due to the european convention.
theoretically that should mean microusb although my friend's hero uses some other format.
why all the questions? just play around with it.
