Nokia N900 release date

Hi

Any idea when Vodacom intend to release the Nokia N900. My MTN contract is up for renewal and I am thinking of porting over to Vodacom.
 
No idea, but from what I heard about porting from MTN to Vodacom and the issues with billing afterwards a new contract is the hassle-free option...
 
No real issues with porting from MTN to Vodacom. The one thing that must be understood is that you might get a double whammy. MTN will be invoicing your for usage (billed in arrears....with MTN this could be from a couple of months back...sorry just had to get that in there hehe). What you must also do is make sure MTN actually cancells your billing and number on their side once the port went through. Just because the number has been ported does not mean they are cancelling the billing and number. This is only done by explicit instruction from the client.

the only reason I created the new post was to get an idea from Vodacom directly about the launch of the phone on their network. There seems to be little information form any of the operators as to when we can expect this phone to launch.
 
You will mostly likely never get an answer from the operators when the phone will be available. Only estimates of when it might be available. That April 2010 is only an estimate. You'll only see sold dates closer to the time of release. So best to be patient and wait....
