can anybody tell me why I can not get ovi maps 3.0 insalled on my phone?

Hi,
As far as I know, Nokia Ovi maps are primarily for the fp2 and later phones. The N95 is an fp1 phone, (feature pack, s60 release 3.1

So the Ovi maps will work with s60 3.2 and s60 5 phones.

On a slightly happier note, I managed to find a modded version of Ovi maps 3.03 beta to be specific, but I don't know if you are in to using modded applications though. Besides I'm using it on an N82 which is also an fp1 phone.

Only using this Ovi maps is because its all free with voice guidance etc etc.

do u know how can I insatll nokia maps 3 on my N95 8GB if the pc does not get the info needed from the phone to install it?

Hi,

The principles of installing stuff to the phone can be as follows:
either get what ever you wish to install from the site using your phone web browser, or download the file, make a connection via cable, infrared, Wi-fi or bluetooth and transfer the file to your phone memory or memory card and use the file manager to install the application to your phone.

Hi,

I'm quite sure that you have a version of it that was done by someone else.

With regard to the certificate issue, it could be that your phone is set to the incorrect date.
If that is not the problem, it could be that under settings in app manager it is set to off,
If that is not the problem then it could be that the file in question is not signed with a certificate thus the phone wouldn't be able to install it.

There are ways of getting it installed, however google is your friend.
