Hey, got my PC running route sentry so my router is on bridged mode...
Tried connecting my N95 to the network, picks up the network but doesn't want to browse web or share files...
Any1 have the same problem?
Looking to stream my MP3's directly to my phone.
(Using DDProxy to connect internet wirelessly from my laptop)

HELP PLZ...!!!

ya i also had an issue with that. on the phone it gives you the option to share your memory card but i never got it right to browse it from my pc.

Any1 find a solution or have gotten their N95 wifi to work?

I was able to browse but for some reason the web browser kept crashing on me weird..oh and it chowed my battery like nothing dammm...

Also my phone freezes when I try to search for media files on the network...

Was able to get google running once, but no links worked after that, got connection error...

Any idea? How could google screen show up only once, then with the same settings and connection nothing else will browse?

Could it be the fact that my router is in half-bridged mode???

N95 & Wlan

Yes, I have it working well.

Try disabling the advanced settings in the wireless lan connection and it should work.

Else disable WEP on the router and check if n95 works fine. I had issues with 128 bit encryption and had to switch to 64 bit encryption which should help.

Let me know if you need to do a step by step setup. Wifi setup is one of the most buggy feature in n95.

cheers

Doesn't work, get a "no gateway reply" error...

My Router is on PPPoE LLC Routed mode... Still not working

i have my n95 working with my router in full bridge mode...
the international connection on my pc is shared, pc dials out, n95 connects the wireless network, and browses using the dialled out connection on pc
i have no wep or wpa though, but my ssid is hidden

Would it work in Half Bridged Mode? Obviously you gotta have the modem logon to the internet?

Yes it would work then.

The thing is if your router is in full bridge mode, your n95 connects to the router and "expects" an active connection, because it doesnt have one - seeing that the router is in full bridge mode, the n95 will just give an error message. My setup is wifi router in half bridge mode, n95 connects to wifi router with active connection. How is yours set up then?

that was the problem i had initially and my router doesnt support half bridge mode, so i was stuck there
searched all over the net for an answer but all i got was that it couldnt be done with router in full bridge mode.. but i didnt give up..decided to mess around myself

i then set up the phone to connect to the pc via the router, forcing a specific lan ip, using my pc as the gateway instead of the router, then share the chosen internet connection on my pc, and the n95 found and connected with ease, double checked public ip on phone and it was the same as my shared pc internet connection, i then ran out the bath tub screaming eureka...

the only downside of this is that your pc has to be on and connected to the net...

the reason i use it this way is coz the n95 and my other wireless devices are a bit shaky when the network has any sort of security (wpa or wep), so i cant have an open network and the router dialling out, that would enable anyone in the vicinity to use my connection

with the network open and dhcp off, outside users will unlikely be able to connect properly unless they guess my subnet, and it isnt even a problem if they do...

however this method will only use one internet connection for all its traffic, so no matter what u browse on the phone (local or int) its going through the connection you share
however this doesnt affect you using routesentry to split your pc's traffic, that will still go as normal :)
