Nokia N97 Mini, Available in SA yet?

Hi all,

I have an upgrade coming up, and I have been looking at the N97. The N97 is a bit bulky, and I have heard of a few problems with it. I have seen that the N97 mini has been released, with very similar stats to the N97, except it's a bit smaller and to me, it looks better.

I am currently on a Vodacom contract. Does any one know if there are contracts out there already offering this phone, the N97 mini? I have been looking around online, but the websites are really crap.

Any help appreciated! Thanks
 
damn, my upgrade is in april, i suppose then I'll have to pay in my left arm for the phone...
 
Nashuamobile have it on their website. Pay in on a Talk 120 is R1199. Is it available anywhere else?
 
I was in the VodaShop in Tygervalley a few days back, and the kiddie working there assured me there is no such phone as the Nokia N97 mini.....

I heard that the N97 has an FM transmitter, and the N97 mini does not.. is this correct?

The Mini doesn't have an FM Transmitter.

What planet is this kiddie living on to say no such phone exists?

Half the sales reps know hardly anything about celphones. I had the experience a few times at MTN shops, when I asked for certain phones. They insist that no such phone exists. I visit the Gsmarena website at least once everyday, and I think theses reps should do the same. At least they should try to keep abreast of things happening in the industry they're involved in.

True. When I upgraded to the 6710 Navigator the MTN people kept trying to give me the 6210 Navigator, insisting that's the most recent Navigator phone on the market. The Mini got so much press though.
 
Any news, I'm keen on getting this phone? Nashuamobile still have it on there website, but I haven't come across it anywhere else.
 
guy at the office has one...dunno where in cape town he got it but ja it looks good...he is very happy..
 
This is what I have found out so far:
If you buy the phone prepaid from Nashumobile its gonna cost around R5700
If you going the route of the grey market its gonna cost you around R4700
After speaking to the sales guy at Nashuamobile the best option would be to take out a Vodacom Top Up 75 contract and you pay in R3800 for the phone
 
i wonder when mtnsp are going to wake up
vodacom have the n97 mini already out and mtn say they dont have a clue when it wil be out
 
Also still waiting for it on MTN, and the shop near me has no idea when it will be available.
