Our company bought a surface (read: blegh) for development, a while back.
After doing it's updates it is now not booting past the surface logo.

Esquire says it is out of warranty, Microsoft says we must ship it back to the US.
I have tried everything I have found online.

Anyone with ideas?

May not help you much, but my son was hell bent on getting one, so he got his the same week it was released in the US. The screen started delaminating 2 months later. At that stage it was not even available here yet, so when I went over again I called MS (fully expecting to be given a lot of crap) they did n few tests over the phone. Once confirmed it was borked they sent a courier to the address to pick it up, and at the same time couriered me a new one, which was hand delivered 2 days later.

So if you can get someone to exchange it for you?? All they wanted was the receipt (to prove it is not stolen) - didn't care who I was, just wanted one broken pad in exchange for a working one.

Which is the way these things should work, unlike in this country where they take it way for 7 months, then maybe decide you didn't break it on purpose and then give you the run around until they offer you a refurbished model.
