Hi all.

Can someone confirm 2 things on iBurst bills for me please?

1. I assume that on the bill the entry "Contract: SARUS00015 - G1 subs" is what it says and refers to a contractually agreed to subscription? Can someone explain the alpha and numericals? Are the numerals the first 5 digits of one's account number?

2. Can anyone remember how much the month-to-month 3 Gig cost was, 2006?

Thanks

Not sure about the numerical context in the account numbers.

Off the top of my head I think it was R599 for 3Gig (month-to-month if you bought your own modem upfront) in 2006...

Thanks Gecko.

I must have been on 1 Gig, R469/month, then. Bills don't indicate the package. Aside from the 'G1' in that mysterious subscription contract entry, SARUS00015 in bills from 2007, after closure.

Mysterious because I was on month-to-month. So, to add to the picture or to get some clarity, it seems that that could be a start in my misfortune. Notice on month-to-month Oct 2005 to Nov/Dec 2006 mistakenly thought to be notice on a 24-month contract, therefore being billed for a modem?

Again off the top of my head here...
But I do recall G1 as referring to a 1Gig account. (G3 definitely used to refer to 3Gig)

As for the 'SARUS' I have never had that in an Account code.
It was either 'WBS' or lately 'W'.

Sorry, I was meant to say G1 refers to 1 Gig package.

'RUS' could be a reference to my user name, which was my real name. So probably South Africa, Rustum?
The first 5 digits of my account number is/was 00013. Could that invented contract account then ultimately have been created by a typo? So that my joke about Brazil - where someone gets hounded because a fly in a bureaucratic typewriter causes a typo in his a surname - seems surreally apposite?

Weirdness abounds.

Off to lunch now, upscale burgers...
