noob DSTV install question

We have a PVR3000 dual-view decoder.
I'm going to connect it to another tv.
So im running a RF cable from the decoder to the 2nd tv.

1. Will this RF cable carry HD signal ?
2. If not, is there a RF cable that will carry HD ?
3. Does my model decoder allow output of HD at the RF-out ?

RF will not carry HD content, I'm afraid. And no, there isn't an RF cable that can.

Or let me rephrase. The cable itself is 'capable' of carrying HD content but the RF-OUT on the decoder doesn't output the HD signal.

So you saying an RF cable is capable of carrying an HD signal?
That's awesome news, no need for long HDMI or ethernet cables, just get a HDMI to RF converter
RF has really improved from not being able to even carry stereo audio

You don't have to, you can get a HDMI splitter like this http://www.hdcabling.co.za/powered-hdmi-splitter-1x2-2-outputs-hdcp-12-hdmi-v13-p-85.html
It will split the output into 2. It should be fine as long as the 2nd TV isnt further then 15m away, if you need to go further you can go the ethernet route. HDMI cables are pricey though, you looking at around R350 for a 10m cable

It will carry the picture for sure. Meaning you can view HD channels on your normal STD Def TV. However the HD content will not display in HD on an HD TV via RF cable no.
