So after not unplugging things fast enough during a storm last Friday I lost my speakers and my internet stopped working. At first I thought it was the line (since fixed by Telkom in record time I might add
) but although the line syncs I still can't connect 
Have since discovered that I can connect to net with my laptop so it isn't the router which leaves my onboard network card (Gigabyte Dual LAN on Asus P5N32 mobo) - neither "port" works
Is the above product (see linky) an easy replacement option for my desktop?
Replacing the board is a last resort and my 2 PCI slots are already in use
