Hi guys

I'm on doBroadband 2, but i'd like to add a local only account from WA or axxcess...

So assuming I buy a local account, where do I enter the new username/pass for the local account? I'd assume on the router?

I have the telkom 100WR, but I'm not too sure how to go about doing it, some help would be appreciated..

Thanks

Ok.
To use two accounts you need two connections at the same time, or alternate between them. Your best bet is to go for two concurrent connections.

So you get your local only WebAfrica account (this is a breeze).
Then you need to go into your router and set it's authentication into bridge mode (or full bridge), you'll see something along those lines in quick setup.

Next (technically before you kill your internet) goto the RouteSentry website. Google it. Then download that, it will have a link to the RasPPPOE page, which you will need to set up the 'dial ins' for your router. Remember to give them different names, else it will overwrite... These dial ins that are created by RasPPPOE are where you put your different ADSL usernames and passwords (Telkom and WA).
Then you set Route sentry to connect local to WA and international to (dont)DO Broadband. Click set up routes, save changes, and you should be A for Away.

If not, search this forum for Route Sentry. Should find plenty

I have found that the 100WR does not have to be in bridge or full bridge mode for Routesentry to work. I hard-reset mine, and Routesentry worked like a charm! No settings need to be changed or anything - Just keep the unit in the default out-of-the-box settings. The poor router still has the default telkom guest account on it. :D

Routesentry is your best route. There is a solution to setup accounts on the router if you are linux savvy.

Sweet, thanks dudes!!

RouteSentry it is then. I ain't linux savvy unfortunately. :)

i will so no reason why it would work on mine and not on yours.

EDIT: Near the bottom of the post in that link I've added links to 2 files - ipcalc and expect. If you are not using FC7, replace ipcalc especially on your distro.
