Normal data vs night express

When I use my MTN night express data between midnight and 6am, my normal mobile data gets depleted. Why is this?

According to them everything seems fine and I'm being charged accordingly. But I have the mtn app and I can see that my anytime data is depleting and not my night express. So I need.to try it again maybe tonight or any other night and monitor
 
You are not the only one. I set my pc to download from 1 to 5am. To save my Anytime data. Still used up my Anytime data while my Night Express data remained untouched. Would love to know how you get it sorted.
 
Best thing to do to test is do a small download like a couple hundred MB and wait a bit for the app to update and then check if it's taking off your night express data.

There also a lag when they reset your data like my data resets tomorrow but if I start a big download right after midnight it will use may day data because for some reason the night express only becomes available a couple hours later. It's weird like that.

Did a 15GB download last night and it used my anytime data. Super irritating.
