Very slow speeds (less than 384kbps average) during the day and evenings. The only time I have a usable connection is between 00:00 and about 06:00 before it becomes almost unusable again.

Tel. Number: 011 704 XXXX
ADSL line speed: 2Mbps
ISP name and account type: Afrihost Business 2MB uncapped
Time of day: Around 06:00 to 23:00

A traceroute to Telkom.co.za:

The attenuation stats of the line:
(As reported by my router - I believe it's more than just within the required levels.)

that exactly what's happening to me at the moment

I logged a call with telkom i think you need to also maybe if enough people will complain they will upgrade the exchange cause clearly its congested...i have gone as far as to escalate the problem already so maybe ill get a repsonse back today

will do that, i am busy communicating with TelkomZA on twitter but will log an official complaint, a telkom tech told me they did upgrade the exchange but it's full already and people are being moved to the older exchange ports again.

ive also been talking to telkom za well actually i just talk and they ignore..... so basically i need to wait to be moved back to an old port ???

Anyone else in North Riding (Olivedale) got a dead adsl line from early hours of the morning ?

Don't waste any more time, report it quickly before the long weekend.

Yeah i already did, i think the heavy storm last night must have klapped something.... cause router is all good but line and phone is 100% dead.

Yeah just found out they stole all the cables going to the end of Blandford Road, not that them stealing our power cables each week now its telkom,

Oh no!
And they chose the most appropriate time to steal it, when no one is in the mood to work. We all know how long Telkom takes to repair under normal circumstances, I shudder to think how long they are going to take at this time of the year.
