Anybody else getting fast d/loads from said tower late night or early morning? Average down speed:114KB/s

What are you daytime speeds like?

on the northcliff tower i always had way better speeds after 2am

this north cliff tower needs a good kick up the butt.

if it is cuz there are so many ibursters in the area (assuming) surely it should be noed by wbs and more towers put up cuz it's a potential cash cow (talking in their language)?

When I use IBurst in Rivonia during the day, on average I get around 80kbs.
During the early evening and on weekends in Weltevreden Park (near Northcliff) I get on average 30kbs.
However, if I connect say at 3AM in the morning, the speed is on average 80kbs.

Does anyone know if this is being addressed?

Well then i think setting up ur MTU receive window and yeah it might get better...check ur spyware,adware....viruses and see if it improves....and come back to us...

Can't really say my speed in the early mornings is fabulous either. I only have this problem with the Northcliff tower. Sandton is perfect. Although the case was reversed 3 months ago. Maybe they'll fix n/c in 3 months . Till then, I'll be firing up the good old ISDN (was going to get rid of it at the end of this month!)

with iBurst you need to maintain second connectivity option if you don't want to be left in the dark ... how nice from WBS to provide SA with such unreliable service!

Just phoned WBS

They say the towers/northcliff are all fine (yeah right!). Funny thing every time i ask which tower i am connecting to they always say northcliff yet previously they said roodepoort & northcliff . I think they are just guessing ....waiting for them to call back about the slooowww speed ..

They finally phoned me back and said they will look into it ..sounds familiar. I wont be holding my breath....

Well there is a problem.... it's slow tonight.. I am getting 300kbit/sec on Telkom speed test...

Now that Shaun is gone I suppose I will have to suffer with this intolerable speed for days to come
