Hi
Does anyone know when the new kit is going up in the roodepoort area? I have heard some rumors. Has anyone els experienced continued signal loss in the last 5-10 day's? My UTD just drops to 0% and then back up to 100% and sometimes the connection is also dropped.

It seems that issue is common(100->0 ) WBS will be giving me feedback after thursday (sa time) so I will report it here.

I just put up UTD at home again coz have been disconnected at work for almost the entire day, and have work to do.



I am quite disappointed with the speed the ping times they have gone bad drastically since i last checked. I guess I will have to deal with a slow connection ?(its better than none at all)

External Arials help But I had good speeds without it before here, somethings up since I last checked. Our arial is fixed at work but IF you don't have one GET ONE.
 
As far as I heard there is another tower going up between Roodepoort and Northcliff to balance the usage. My trouble just started a week ago and there has been times that it looked fine. I think my problems stem from Northcliff being overloaded with users. Hopefully another tower will help.

Also check what a little sweet spot searching can do

Well what can i say i dont know if i get Ext..Antenna it will get better....coz i`m like on the middle of the Northcliff tower area...so who knows...if i get ext antenna which antenna i will connect but the same crap Northcliff..
 
Its very directional point to where ever and you get where ever. I sometimes connect to roodepoort anyway (if i find the exact position for the UTD), but def not 2nite.

I am in linden Ext I am well away from roodepoort

Well then if you are in Linden Ext then you are spoilt by choice.
I gather you can always direct it to Auckland Park or Randburg
 
Same experience here...Disconnections, bad pings and time outs. I am in Weltevredenpark connecting to Northcliff and Randburg (90%) Northcliff.
 
or roodepoort I promise the helpdesk said I connect there aswell

why it looks like to me that the iBurst quality is getting worst rather than better :-)
 
They running out of money so they subscribing more costumers to get some money but their towers are already way overloaded:P
