I'm taking part in the ONLY course that you cannot get a bursary for and they are so ****. You'd think that we'd get preference, but no.

For the first half a year we didn't have dedicated classrooms (sometimes had to sit outside on the grass).

The lecturers are always absent.

We have class sometimes till 11. Lmao wtf, who has class from 8-11.

I can sum all of what I've learned/done into one trimester I promise you and still not be overworked.

Northlink: For those who want highschool to last a few years longer.

1. Why did you go to a college?
2. Did you go to an open day and check out the classrooms beforehand?
3. Whats wrong with class from 8 - 11?
4. Why would you get preference for a course you can't get a bursary for? Does that have anything to do with anything?

1) Because I had confidence in tertiary education.

2) No.

3) The curriculum is from 8-3 everyday.

4) Because 90% of Northlinks income is from bursaries from the government.

No wonder your the KFC employee of the month.

You can be at KFC more often than class because of absent lecturers.

Btw, why didn't you go the UNISA route rather than a college ?

If you can afford a college you can afford to go to a proper university - unless you went to college because of different admission requirements or because the college has a reputation for being the best in the field.

I still don't get the bursary thing though.... I had a bursary where I studied and none of the staff knew who paid for my studies and quite honestly it had nothing to do with them. The students who were treated better were the good students.

Moral of the story is don't go to colleges.

I just want to point out that entry requirements into college is generally lower/lax than University, money isn't a determining factor. Just look at CTU.

That's why I asked why OP went there.
If it was because of admission requirements then what can he do except complain to the college for wasting his money.
If it was because he thought the college is better than university then he deserves to go to high school longer.
