Northwood P4 Socket 478

Hi guys,

Intel Pentium 4 3.0C, 800FSB, HT Enabled, 865PE chipset (or better, as long as it's socket 478)

Anyone have one laying around not using it in good condition that's willing to give it away to a charitable cause (ala me with no money broke as hell?)

Do you need motherboard and CPU?

No just the Northwood 3.0c Socket 478.

I have a Dell Inspiron 9100 and it came with the Desktop chipset, apparently I can get it to run faster/less heat/less battery power if I change up the CPU's.

Maybe want to try that.

My battery died again. And I need a new BIOS battery. So I figured while I'm looking for replacements (the laptop is 4 years old now but still kicking ass) I want to see what else I can do to kick it up a notch.
