A new and completely different threat has been doled out to an unsuspecting public

The danger is associated with copy-protection software included on some Sony discs created by a company called SunnComm Technologies. The vulnerability could allow malicious programmers to gain control of computers that have run the software, which is typically installed automatically when a disc is put in a computer's CD drive.

Nice one! Maybe they should rethink their DRM policy while they're still in business.

Sony !!!

Coincidently two weeks ago I forgot a dvd in my sony dvd rom and started my pc.....it restarted and then deleted my boot.ini file and shutdown...I almost had to format and buty a new pair of undies, fortunately I remembered Windows Recovery console feature and some good ole dos prompts and soon I was back in business.
