Since yesterday I haven't been capped anymore, and it seems to have happened on/off for a while before that as well because I'm about 5 gigs over my cap. Seeing as this is obviously a problem on Telkom's side, will I be charged for the extra use? I'm given local-only cap when my cap runs out, but seeing as I cannot utilize this, they don't have a right to charge me if I use international right? I just need to know before I re-download an ISO of the Windows SDK, it weighs at like 1.4GB.

Heavy ISO :p ;)

Telkom your ISP?
Sounds like it, if not please elaborate.

But afaik they will charge you - I think.
The days of raping over the limit are long gone and if you can see from your usage meter, that you're over the limit - they're gonna see it too and charge accordingly.

Perhaps there's a silent trial - perhaps my memory of how TI work is incorrect and another forumite can set me straight.

But I'm of the opinion that you're likely to be billed for your international data usage.

"They don't have the right to charge me," argument does not hold water and there surely is something in their T&C's that says so too.

download as much as u can, if you did a bit research then u would have found that it's happened loads of times b4. But it wont last for ever, give it a day or 2 and you'll be on your local cap.

lol, totally opposite, last time it happened to me I downloaded as much as I could and didn't get charged for it.

I believe they cannot charge you for going over international, but if that international traffic you doing now goes towards local cap and you go over that you will be charged

Yes I am on TI. Hmmm I hope you're right CrAzYLeGs69. Well put it this way, I pay them Rx every month for y gigs of cap. I don't pay "per-gig" of usage, I pay a fixed amount. So if I go over that amount, especially if it's a glitch in the system, surely it would be against the actual terms of the account that I have with them for them to charge me? Also, my line keeps dropping randomly and it's been rock solid for as long as I can remember. Seeing as SeaCom is back online, I've ruled that out, any ideas? But if you say you didn't get charged, I think I'll believe you and hope for the best.

Time for uncapped

"but i was doing local stuff, and did'nt exceed what my total allowance would have been. what? i'm seposed to wait for you to decide which session i should be on?";)
