When I check my downloads on mweb.co.za it says over 3 gigs... and it has only recorded my downloads before 20th this month. It says nothing about any days after that. ...and im not capped[:D]
Wonder why?

Now be a friend and share this uncapped acount Usename and PW with us. Since you do not get capped, you should not be effected. [:D]
 
Well, being the end of the month, I decided to see what this cap is all about. So, I went over the 3GB cap by about 100MB. The next bandwidth report I got told me I was over the 3GB and would be subjected to a "throttled" international service. They were true to their word, at the next IP change I was capped. And I see why they call it "throttled" service. I have not been able to access one international site. Telkom must either do something about this or they must inform their prospective customers that after the cap there is NO international service.

I luckily have the satellite to fall back on or I would be one furious individual.

So, now I know exactly what you guys are talking about - after the cap is bad, bad news.

hehe...i dont think ive been capped but my speeds have dropped 2day form 300 to 90...mebe i just got capped...or mebe 2day is just a bad day
 
Trust me when u get capped youll know becuz there aint no international sites its so slooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww
 
since I've been capped (around the 11th), I've only been able to almost load one international page. that's how bad it is. so you'll definitely know when you've hit it.
 
Well luckily for the last 4 months that ive had adsl ive been watching my dloads so i havent been capped[:)]

Hay guys, just a general question, when the 3 gig cap is reached , and one is put on a "throttle".
does it kill the national and international?

from what i read on the forum's is that it kills the international only?

whats the speed on national sites then?

u cant access international sites but national sites are not affected.

is it really necessary to reset the ADSL router after 24 hrs to change ip's

i have not reset the modem for like a few days on the 2 adsl routers in my office?

I often dont reset my router. But now i cant send emails. i foned mweb and they said that not reseting the router caused this problem
 
well the last few days have been bad but in generally get over 200-300 international and same with national[:)]
 
hehe - mweb still hasnt updated my usage for september... they only have my usage up to the 20th...and for oct they say 0.00gb downloads and uploads[:D]
