Not yet RICA'd....after 24 hours

Is this normal?

I bought a new 60GB prepaid speedstick yesterday afternoon at 17:00. They said it can take up to 8 hours to be RICA'd. It is now 24 hours later.

When I run *101#, I get the following message:

Receive:Your account is locked. New customers must RICA first

ARRGHHHHHH. Anyone experience this?
 
Nope, mine worked when I got back from the store. It was an hour or two later. Maybe the salesperson screwed up.
 
Okay. I retract my statement. Darn, if all companies are willing to give this kind of service. Hopefully we will have it sorted out soon
 
LOL, Same thing happened to me, and all that rica bull**** screws up their service in a big way.
Oh and by the way Mandy, maybe you should go buy one of your sim starter packs, you don't get your cell number.
 
Problem is now solved. I was one of the unlucky ones that fell through the cracks. Riaz and Nancy solved the problem and gave feedback the whole time. Well done Cell C
 
just got a pre-payed cellc to test the network in my area. Got it RICAd, it's been 6 hours and when I plug the sim in phone, phone gives limited service + sim card registration failure. Do I still need to just wait 24 hours or did my RICA reg. not go through?
 
hey guys I have tried to phone 084 140 from a Telkom and Vodacom as I can't call from my cellc Aso I have not recieved my cellc sim phone no. So when phoning 140 and it asks if you don't have you number yet press #, it ends the call. :confused:
