Notebook Backpack Recommendations

Hi

I am currently using a Dell backpack for my Latitude D830. The straps have however torn and the foam is sticking out making the bag look quite unsightly. Have any of you shopped around recently for a backpack? I don't have a budget yet but assume something along the same price range as the current one will be fine. I will look for the new price on Dell's site.
 
I got a Fititsu Siemans one from Makro 2yrs ago.....still going strong
 
Swissgear (if you can get hold of it) make nice backpacks. Have packed it beyond full in the past and its still comfortable to carry.
 
thx for the recommendations. I could not find anything on the dell site. wtf! anyway i think they were around R250 or R350 when I got it about 2 years ago.

So far it feels very rugged and durable, and seems to have more space inside than my old (traditional) bag.

No idea where you'd get it from as I got it as a gift, but I'm guessing most luggage shops.

Theres a Cellini agent in Centurion Mall. They can always order it I guess.

I have a 15.4" notebook. Thinking of the TEB01 cos of size, weight and price.
 
There are quite a few luggage shops in Menlyn.

I bought a Camel Backpack at the shop on the Lower floor - opposite Wimpy and next to that place that sells Cinnabons (aahh damn, now I have to go to menlyn tonight.)
They sell Cellini, Camel, Swissgear, Victory Knox, Busby and other brands. Good range to pick from.
When I bought the backpack it was not intended for laptop use, but now it is turning out to be the best buy.

I actually lost the removable inner a while ago. But just bought a new one from the same shop.

Think the shop's name is Luggage Stop or Inn or something.
 
+1 for the Targus TEB01. Has a sturdy carry handle, padded back, tons of storage space (can even fit in extension leads if needed!), straps have an "S" shape so it does not easily slip off shoulders and the base is made of some waterproof material. Best of all IMHO is the fact that it does NOT look like a notebook bag - prying eyes would hopefully not guess that you are carrying a notebook inside :-) . Got one for my 14" Thinkpad and have been very happy so far.

i know the place. bought some cheap notebook sleeves for my hp 15" and macbook 13" just for home use. i will call check them out.

yea the Targus TEB01 seems to be what i want but i dont think it will be that cheap here in bloem...
 
so where can i get the targus at these prices?

ok, i spoke to the distributor. they have a special rate for our company. public price for the TEB01 is R609 excl. VAT !!! sorry man.
