I have a notebook that has gone the way of all notebooks - my battery has become ready to be passed on to the great recycling world in the sky.

I am somewhat reluctant to send it on its way and would like to know the contact details of anyone that can repack notebook Battery packs.

Any info would be appreciated!

I'll vote for Laptop Accessories too. I don't know about repacking, but I bought a third party replacement battery from them for my old Compaq notebook. Not only was it a third of the price of the one from Compaq, it was also a much stronger battery (without being physically bigger), so it gave very very good battery life.

They're in Edenvale.

Compaq is almost always expensive, you can usually save a lot of money by making use of these outlets! Why oh why do some companies think they can make a 200% profit?!

Might not be very helpful info but there's two cheaper ways which i havent even tried myself yet

There's this thing called BATMAX on bidorbuy, claiming to bring back about 95% of ur almost dead rechargable battery...dunno how though, too lazy to read their site.

The other way is wrapping ur battery with newspaper and put it into ur freezer for 3 days, then take it out and let it stand for 2 days...then recharge. The battery should be flat before doing this...
